After a challenging year in 2020, Cancer Council Queensland announced the return of Brisbane Relay for Life at Clairvaux Mackillop College Upper Mount Gravatt on Saturday 9th October 2021.

Relay for Life gives our Brisbane community the opportunity to come together to recognise and celebrate those who have overcome cancer or are undergoing treatment, as well as the people who care for them. Relay also provides an opportunity to celebrate the memory of loved ones lost to cancer.

Here Comes the Sun! 2021

Cherish donated $200 worth of prizes for the Raffle.

HERE COMES THE SUN! is a Family Fun Day and Fundraiser (for Black Dog Institute; our focus being men’s mental health and suicide prevention) and of course to celebrate the life of much loved and missed Michael Ulrich.

Michael was best known as local kindy director & teacher; loving partner (to Sharyn), unconditional friend (to so many) and 'cheese face' (to all of his kindy kids). He was never without his guitar and smile :)

Michael made an enormous impact on our community – he created an inclusive, safe place for kids and their families, where his unique ethos encouraged kids to take risks, be compassionate, to laugh and become loving contributors to the bigger world.

The impact of Michael's sudden passing on 25 Marcy 2020 was felt widely through the community. Given COVID-19 restrictions, there was no funeral or memorial. HERE COMES THE SUN! is time for us to come together and celebrate Michael’s life and contributions.

Much love & gratitude to the ladies at Cherish Gifts & Homewares for their generous donation towards our raffle!
